• Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• Wednesday–Sunday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Tuesday–Saturday | 3:30 PM–12:00 AM

Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Technologist (MT) to join a clinical laboratory team in Nashville, TN. This position is responsible for day-to-day specimen processing, laboratory testing, analysis, and accurate reporting of patient results. The Medical Technologist will also support quality control, instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and overall laboratory operations while maintaining established safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Students and recent graduates who are eligible to sit for their ASCP or AMT certification exams are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process specimens according to established laboratory protocols.
• Perform laboratory testing and accurately interpret and report patient results.
• Identify and resolve issues that could affect test performance or result accuracy.
• Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshoot testing methods and equipment.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and established departmental protocols.
• Assist with maintaining QA/QC programs, documentation, and quality monitoring.
• Help develop and update procedures to improve testing efficiency, accuracy, and reporting.
• Assist laboratory leadership with administrative responsibilities, including supply ordering and inventory management.
• Communicate testing issues, workflow concerns, and other pertinent information to laboratory leadership.
• Collaborate with other departments and laboratory team members.
• Maintain established productivity, quality, and performance expectations.
• Follow all applicable compliance, privacy, security, and laboratory policies.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a chemical, physical, biological, or related clinical laboratory science.
• ASCP or AMT certification required for certified Medical Technologists.
• Students or recent graduates who are eligible to sit for the ASCP or AMT certification exam are welcome to apply.
• Must maintain appropriate continuing education for certification and applicable licensure.
• One year of related clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and reliable test results.
• Ability to troubleshoot laboratory instruments, testing processes, and technical issues.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, quality assurance, and quality control practices.
