Job Title Occupational Therapist OT Pay Range: $55-70/hour Job Description School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) | Tacoma, WA | Full-Time | 2026–2027 Ampersand Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year in the Tacoma, Washington area. This is a full-time, onsite position supporting a secondary-school caseload and supervising a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). Job Highlights Location: Tacoma, WA area Position: Occupational Therapist (OT) – School Setting Schedule: Full-Time, Setting: Onsite only Caseload: Secondary students Additional Responsibility: Supervision of a COTA Start Date: ASAP End Date: June 23, 2027 Responsibilities Provide school-based OT services, including assessments, treatment, and consultation Support a secondary-school caseload Conduct evaluations and prepare written reports Participate in IEP meetings and develop appropriate IEP goals Supervise and collaborate with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Provide guidance to support the consistent and effective delivery of services Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and service records Qualifications Must hold an active Washington State Occupational Therapist license Must be fingerprinted and cleared through the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) Ability to supervise and collaborate with a COTA Previous school-based or secondary-level experience preferred Benefits Paid sick leave Healthcare benefits* 401(k) with company matching W-2 employment with general and professional liability insurance Reimbursement for licensure, CEUs, and other professional expenses Mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate between school sites Referral bonuses No non-compete clauses Paid time off for volunteer work and donation matching* *Benefits apply to employees working 0.8 FTE and above, following a short waiting period.
