Housekeeper Job Description:

Description: This position provides laundry and general housekeeping services to clients that contract with SmithLife Homecare.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required

Qualifications: Individuals must provide proof of a recent tuberculosis screening, be authorized to work in the U.S and are willing to submit to a background check. Individuals with at least 6 months' experience in a housekeeping position are preferred.

Physical Activities : May include stooping, lifting, bending, kneeling, standing and the ability to lift objects that weigh over 10 pounds.

Reports to : Director of Nursing

Primary Duties :

1. Deep cleaning the bathroom

a. making sure the shower, toilet and sink are in pristine condition.

b. Make sure floors and clean and dry, and make sure client has toilet

paper stocked.

2. Deep cleaning the kitchen

a. making sure that dishes are cleaned and put away.

b. Counters are spotless of any old food or dishes.

c. The sink is cleaned with no food sitting in it.

3. Clean out refrigerators of old expired items.

4. Vacuum and dust around the apartment.

a. Make sure to move items to clean around them. This includes dusting

tables, Knick knacks, light fixtures ext.

5. Laundry services

a. as needed for the client.

b. Load laundry into washer and dryer then fold and help client put

them away.

6. Abides by the agency's infection control policies, including proper hand

washing techniques consistent with CDC guidelines.

7. Abides by all policies and procedures outlined in the agency's manual,

employee handbooks, and training manual.

FLSA Status: Hourly, non-exempt
