This is an exceptional opportunity for a forward-thinking financial leader to help shape the future of a member-focused credit union dedicated to financial strength, innovation, and service excellence.Reporting to the CEO, the CFO serves as a key strategic partner, responsible for the overall financial health of the organization while leading the Finance, Accounting, Compliance, and Information Technology functions. The successful candidate will balance strategic vision with operational excellence, ensuring sustainable growth, regulatory compliance, sound financial management, and organizational success.Strategic & Executive LeadershipPartner with the executive team to develop and execute organizational strategies and long-term objectives.Provide financial guidance and insights that support growth, profitability, and member value.Team LeadershipDirect the Accounting, Finance, Compliance and IT departments while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.Investment ManagementOversee the credit union's investment portfolio and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Budgeting and ForecastingLead the budgeting process, including financial forecasts and variance analysis.Economic and Financial AnalysisAnalyze financial information to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions, and setting dividend and loan rates.Compliance and TechnologyOversee the two departments to ensure they are aligned with credit union strategies and objectives.Ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations, including BSA and OFAC requirements.What We're Looking ForRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of banking or credit union experience with progressive financial leadership responsibilities.Strong experience with financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and executive-level financial reporting.Deep understanding of Asset Liability Management (ALM), liquidity management, and investment strategies.Proven ability to lead teams and influence organizational strategy.Preferred QualificationsMBA and/or CPA designation.Prior executive leadership experience in a credit union or financial institution.Experience leading diverse functional areas, including finance, compliance, and technology.Demonstrated success leveraging technology to improve processes and drive organizational results.What We OfferA Purpose-Driven Mission – Make a meaningful impact by helping members improve their financial lives.Collaborative Culture – Join a team that values partnership, mutual respect, innovation, and continuous improvement.Professional Growth – Opportunities for leadership development, career advancement, and ongoing professional education.Competitive Compensation & Benefits – We offer a competitive salary and incentive structure, comprehensive benefits package, generous PTO, paid holidays, a strong 401(k) match, discretionary retirement contributions, and more.About MTC Federal Credit UnionEstablished in 1976 and headquartered in Greenville, SC, we have grown into a trusted financial institution serving over 16,000 members across multiple states.
