Shift: Nights - 3x12 Hour Shifts

• Typical Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5–6
• First-time travelers accepted

Unit Details:

• Medical/Telemetry Overflow Unit

Patient Population Includes:

• Medical-Surgical overflow patients
• Medical Telemetry patients
• Stable chest pain rule-out patients
• Atrial Fibrillation with Rapid Ventricular Response (A-Fib RVR)
• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) patients
• Stroke rule-out patients

Common IV Drips:

• Cardizem (Diltiazem)
• Amiodarone

Requirements:

• Active RN License
• 1–2 years of Telemetry nursing experience required
• BLS Certification required
• ACLS Certification required
• NIHSS Certification required

⭐ Preferred:

• First-time travelers welcome
• Strong cardiac monitoring experience

Required Skills:

• Telemetry monitoring
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Medical-Surgical nursing

• IV starts and IV management
• Cardiac patient assessment and monitoring
• Stroke assessment and care

• Management of Cardizem and Amiodarone infusions
• Medication administration and patient education

• Multidisciplinary patient care coordination

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical patients
• Monitor and assess cardiac rhythms and patient conditions

• Care for stable cardiac patients, including chest pain rule-outs, CHF, and A-Fib RVR patients
• Monitor and manage patients receiving Cardizem and Amiodarone infusions

• Care for stroke rule-out patients following facility protocols
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately

• Maintain accurate patient documentation
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

• Deliver safe, high-quality, patient-centered care
