Financial Analyst
Growing, non-automotive manufacturer is seeking a Financial Analyst to complete site closing, budgeting, reporting and financial analysis. Daily responsibilities will include:
- Leading and completing the site closing process, including journal entries, fixed assets, cost and analysis
- Partnering with various departments to establish and monitor in-house budgets
- Completing actual versus budget analysis
- Performing cost center reporting
- Evaluating standard cost, monitoring cost and making any needed adjustments
- Partnering with all facets of production, materials and engineering in order to ensure accurate product costing
- Assisting with external audits
- Completing analysis and review of the P&L
- Championing GAAP analysis and compliance
- Overseeing multiple finance and analysis projects at a time, while completing them in a timely manner
- Improving financial processes, measurables and KPIs
- Other duties as assigned by management
Company is seeking a confident finance professional with excellent hands-on skill sets. Candidates should be able to communicate at all levels and partner with site leaders to complete analysis and review of reporting structures. The qualified individual will promote a team-oriented environment, be able to work on multiple projects at a time and enjoy detailed analysis. Requirements for the Manufacturing Financial Analyst:
- A bachelor's degree is required, ideally in finance and/or accounting
- At least five years of similar manufacturing Manufacturing Financial Analyst position
- Experience working in manufacturing and/or distribution environments
- Experience leading or contributing to the monthly closing process
- A general understanding of budgeting processes
- Experience with P&L and balance sheets
- Experience with financial and/or accounting reporting
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Expert knowledge of GAAP requirements and guidelines
- A general understanding of cost accounting
- Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills
Skills preferred but NOT required:
- SAP experience
- Supervision of others
