Job Description
Join Our Dynamic Night Shift Emergency Department Team!

Job Description:


- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
- Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of Emergency Department experience
- Open to first-time travelers and local candidates


- Key Skills & Certifications:
- IV Start, Triage, Telemetry, Conscious Sedation
- Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias
- Procedural Sedation Administration
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS, MOAB (facility will offer MOAB class)


- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with critical care patients, trauma, triage, and boarding inpatients
- Preferred Certifications: ENPC and TNCC


- Unit Details:
- Target Ratios: 1:4 (flexible based on acuity)
- 36-hour contract available
- 13-week assignment accepted
- Rotate every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)


- Patient Diagnoses:
- Community hospital setting in Northern Mecklenburg County
- Stroke certified (administer t-Pa, TNK, transfer to PMC)
- Chest pain certified (only walk-in STEMI, transfer to PMC cath lab)
- Comprehensive care for the entire age spectrum with dedicated support


- Special Equipment:
- Alaris IV pumps, Glucommander for efficient medication and lab specimen scans

- Orientation:
- 2-12 hour shifts on the unit + Hospital Orientation in the first week
- Must be available for classes each day during orientation

- Important Notes:
- Must pass EKG Testing prior to start
- RTO after booking is NOT allowed; only 7 days MAX RTO for Aya Auto Offer
- Floating is required as per job description
