Job Description

Job Summary:
The Sonographer specializes in performing noninvasive vascular and cardiac imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for patient evaluation. The role involves interpreting results, maintaining equipment, and supporting department growth initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Perform vascular and echocardiographic testing including transthoracic, stress, transesophageal, carotid, venous, and arterial ultrasounds.
• Interpret and document procedures accurately, preparing preliminary and final reports.
• Communicate findings effectively to physicians and maintain detailed patient records.
• Maintain calibration, cleanliness, and proper functioning of ultrasound equipment.
• Assist in training students and new staff members to ensure departmental standards.
• Contribute to ongoing quality improvement and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold current RDCS and RVS or RCS and RCVT credentials through ARDMS or CCI.
• Possess 3+ years of vascular and echo experience, with 1+ years of travel experience preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency in performing and interpreting a variety of ultrasound procedures.
• Maintain licensure and continuing education units (CEUs) as required by accreditation bodies.
• Exhibit strong communication and organizational skills needed for documentation and collaboration.
