CT Technologist Outpatient

Job Summary CT Technologist – Full‑time, various shifts. Location: East Cooper, CT. Compensation & Incentives $10,000 sign‑on bonus Up to $5,000 relocation assistance for eligible candidates Hourly pay grade: Health‑28, 40 hours per week Responsibilities Perform radiologic examinations timely, accurately, and safely for radiologist interpretation. Ensure schedule adherence; communicate exam delays to all stakeholders. Route completed exams to PACS for interpretation promptly. Per protocol, use appropriate anatomical markers and positioning aids; eliminate artifacts and motion. Screen patients for identification, medical history, and safety protocols; review contraindications. Verify readiness 3–5 days before appointments; coordinate with radiologists, referring physicians, and clinics to resolve issues. Prepare the radiology suite and adjacent common areas for patient visit; confirm equipment availability and quality control. Maintain cleanliness and infection‑control compliance for equipment and examination rooms. Report environmental or equipment issues to the manager and clinical staff. Support a culture of safety by identifying workflow barriers, reporting concerns, and participating in group meetings. Qualifications & Experience Graduated from an accredited radiologic technology school. 0–2 years modality‑specific experience; at least 1 year X‑ray experience. Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); CT registration required within 1 year of hire. Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization. Physical & Functional Requirements Ability to stand, sit, walk, and climb ladders/step stools. Ability to move indoors, from elevated areas, and into confined spaces. Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs unassisted; assist in lifting patients up to 350lbs. Routine fine and gross motor tasks, including repetitive hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder motions. Visual and auditory acuity consistent with occupational standards. Physical qualification for respirator use. Additional Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer literacy and competency with electronic health record systems.
