Vehicle Technician

Our client, an AV manufacturing company, is looking for a Vehicle Technician for their Las Vegas, NV location. Responsibilities include configuring, setting up, maintaining, diagnosing, and signing off on vehicles for safe on-road usage. The role may require local travel to perform this work from time to time. The technician will sync with the shop foreman to ensure all vehicles are in a "ready" state for demonstration and testing requirements. They will perform diagnostics and escalate to the appropriate engineering team if required, coordinate and drive the repair process, create diagnostic test plans as the team sees fit, maintain service records and document quality field reports, maintain shop facilities, ensure tools are in order, and workspace is in excellent working condition. The technician will also assist with parts inventory, location, and organization, and build an excellent service experience for internal teams and business partners.

Requirements include extensive knowledge of methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles. The candidate must have a minimum of 2-4 years of technician experience, a valid driver's license with a clean/excellent driving record, and a reliable, self-starter work ethos. The individual should be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deliverables, be a team player, and have excellent written and verbal skills. Honesty, responsibility, and outstanding communication skills are also required. Forklift and/or gantry operation is required: current and valid forklift operator certification compliant with Cal/OSHA standards. Experience in an automotive-focused engineering or research lab (i.e., Dyno, Battery, etc.) is preferred, as is knowledge of CAN, wiring diagrams, and soldering. The candidate should have experience and ability to tow a car hauler and other large trailers to transport fleet vehicles, and hold a technical trade school certificate or associate degree in automotive repair. The role also requires the ability to travel locally and nationally (on occasion).
