Travel Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) – Gen/Vascular Company: Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Facility in Nashville, Tennessee Job Details: Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) for a 13‑week travel assignment. Responsibilities include performing general and vascular ultrasound studies, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Essential Work Functions Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to integrate diagnostic imaging into patient care plans. Prepare and position patients to ensure accurate imaging while prioritizing comfort and safety. Perform clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations of general and vascular studies. Evaluate images for clarity and accuracy. Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot all ultrasound equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards. Apply technical expertise and critical thinking to perform sonographic procedures effectively. Work efficiently in fast‑paced and high‑pressure environments while maintaining professionalism. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program. Minimum of one year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist. Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC). Valid Ultrasound license in compliance with state regulations. Preferred Qualifications Current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification (ARDMS). Current ARRT certification in sonography. Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position. Required Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills. The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills. Physical abilities: able to remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Interpersonal skills: ability to work effectively with a variety of personnel with a positive attitude and professionalism. Technical/motor skills: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment. Mental requirements: cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure; work under close supervision occasionally and manage irregular activity schedules.
