Senior Database Administrator

Job Description Act as an Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL DBA. Support and implement corporate database activities / solutions. Manage databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission‑critical production systems. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real‑time, providing problem resolution end‑to‑end. Work both independently with minimal supervision and within a team environment. Design and implement processes to manage database configuration, for the databases themselves, and for the environments upon which they run. Design and document processes and procedures for use by other team members to consistently manage database environments. Contribute to the implementation of automation technologies and processes to advance the team’s ability to effectively manage Oracle database infrastructure on Oracle Cloud. Display mature judgment and troubleshooting skills to research issues, provide solutions, and communicate them concisely. Experience implementing technologies with enterprise‑wide impact. Perform routine, day‑to‑day database administrator duties in data replication, SQL tuning, application tuning, creation of database objects, and data modeling. Guide technology updates and trends as a technology leader. Required availability for on‑call rotation and off‑shift work. Expert‑level experience with Oracle database administration in an enterprise environment, including installation, patching, upgrades, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control. Administering databases: users, tablespaces, indexes, roles, space management, partitioning, shrinking tablespaces, database security. Database performance tuning and troubleshooting. Database platform migrations using RMAN, recovery, cloning, duplication, and backups. Expert‑level knowledge of Linux/Unix, scripting, and power‑user skills. In‑depth experience with Oracle RAC/ASM, RDBMS 12c/18c/19c/23ai, Data Guard, RMAN. Oracle Public Cloud experience highly beneficial. SQL Server administration: installation, configuration, fail‑over clustering, migration, upgrades, T‑SQL performance tuning. Automating SQL Server database activities: job scheduling, backup, monitoring. Monitoring server activity, error logs, space usage, and problem resolution. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 4–6 years of Oracle and SQL Server database administration experience. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Ability and willingness to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team. Strong analytical skills and ability to address complex tasks, consistently deliver to project schedule. Impeccable attention to detail. Must be a U.S. Citizen to work on ITAR‑controlled data. Benefits Expected annual pay range of $117,000 – $130,000 plus bonus opportunities, dependent on location, experience, and skillset.
