The school assistant works as a teammate to the food service program, building custodian, fellow student supervisors, and the front office. Work hours are 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on all student attendance days. Required Qualifications High school diploma (or equivalent) or higher Experience working with children preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain a calm and positive demeanor in a fast-paced environment Ability to interact positively and build rapport with elementary school children Flexibility to handle changing situations and unexpected events Keen observation skills to monitor multiple students simultaneously and identify potential safety hazards Ability to remain on feet for extended periods and move quickly when necessary to ensure student safety Other qualifications of academic, professional, and personal excellence, as the Board may specify Postings current as of 1/29/2026 2:12:32 AM CST.
