Food Runner

RPT Tampa, FL, US Salary Range: $15.00 To $17.00 Annually Position Summary The Food Runner / Busser supports smooth and efficient service by delivering food to guests, clearing and resetting tables, maintaining clean dining and event areas, and assisting the service team as needed. This position plays an important role in keeping service organized, timely, and guest-ready. Key Responsibilities Deliver food promptly and accurately to the correct tables or event areas. Assist servers and banquet staff with food and beverage service as needed. Clear used dishes, glassware, utensils, and trash from tables throughout service. Clean, sanitize, and reset tables quickly and according to company standards. Keep dining rooms, event spaces, service stations, and guest areas clean and organized. Refill water and assist with basic guest needs when appropriate. Maintain stocked service stations with necessary supplies, utensils, napkins, and other items. Communicate food delivery issues, guest concerns, or special requests to the appropriate team member. Support buffet setup, replenishment, and breakdown when applicable. Assist with banquet and event setup and breakdown as assigned. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures. Complete assigned opening, closing, cleaning, and side-work duties. Qualifications Previous restaurant, banquet, or hospitality experience preferred but not required. Friendly, professional, and team-oriented attitude. Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail. Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with team members. Ability to remain organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment. Reliable attendance and willingness to assist wherever needed.
