Plant Manager

Company: Client of The Mahoney Group Our client is a U.S.-based, technology-driven manufacturer specializing in precision sensing, vibration monitoring, and engineered electronic solutions serving aerospace, defense, industrial, and commercial markets. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead a high-performing manufacturing operation and serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an operations executive who thrives in a complex manufacturing environment and has a passion for operational excellence, continuous improvement, and building high-performing teams. The Plant Manager will have full responsibility for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Financial Performance , while providing leadership across Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, EHS, and Facilities. This individual will partner closely with executive leadership to execute strategic initiatives that position the organization for continued growth. Key Responsibilities Lead all day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve best-in-class performance in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. Own plant P&L, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and overall financial performance. Develop and execute operational strategies that support business growth, capacity expansion, and operational excellence. Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. Build, coach, and develop a high-performing leadership team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Establish and monitor KPIs that drive operational performance and business results. Partner with Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and Quality to align operations with customer and business objectives. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, regulatory requirements, and world-class safety standards. Serve as a strategic member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to long-term operational and business planning. Qualifications 10–15+ years of progressive manufacturing experience. 5–8+ years in Plant Manager, Operations Manager, or similar manufacturing leadership roles. Proven success leading complex manufacturing operations with measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost. Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement. Demonstrated P&L ownership and financial management experience. Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Strong business acumen with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Experience with ERP/MRP systems (IFS or Made2Manage preferred). Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred. Ability to travel up to 25%. U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance. Why Consider This Opportunity?
