Addiction Counselor

Position Summary Under the supervision of the Program Manager, this role provides individual counseling, case management, and/or group education to individuals and families affected by alcohol and other drug dependency. Qualifications Education Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, or a related field Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of individual and group counseling, as well as family education techniques Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, staff, outside organizations, and healthcare partners Excellent written communication and documentation skills Licensure / Certification Current Maryland Board of Professional Counselors certification as a CAC-AD, CSC-AD, or Addiction Counselor Trainee Experience Minimum of one year of experience in a substance abuse or related mental health setting Salary Range: Minimum 23.35/hour - Maximum 38.54/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
