- Carry out preventative maintenance programs
- Must be able to identify all types of crane components
- Must have a strong background in electrical, drive train, engines, hydraulics, and computer-controlled systems
- Identify and request replacement part to perform repairs
- Understand and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements
- Examine parts for damage and excessive wear
- Read and understand operating manuals, part manuals and blueprints
- Ability to work overtime as well as some weekends is a plus, but this is not often required
- Travel is required periodically for the field part of this job, a valid drivers license is needed and satisfactory vehicle, field tech will also need to collect parts.
- Must be capable of communicating effectively and professionally with supervisors and other personnel
- Mechanic experience
- Diagnostics minimum 3 years mechanical experience
- Experience or Training in both electrical and mechanical fields
- Ability to drive a company service truck
