Performance Academies is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Fitness Instructor to join our team. We look for team members who are passionate about driving academic growth and fostering an inclusive, structured, and engaging learning environment.

• Educating the Whole Child: Students participate in daily structured physical education - including martial arts, tennis, and soccer - as part of our whole-child approach to education.

• Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons aligned with state standards and the school's fitness curriculum.
• Teach sport-specific skills with an emphasis on soccer, tennis, martial arts, and overall physical fitness.
• Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment.
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of student performance.
• Prepare students for school fitness competitions and tournaments.

• Supervise students at all times and ensure student safety.
• Implement positive behavior management strategies and school discipline policies.
• Support the needs of students with IEPs, 504 Plans, and behavior plans in collaboration with intervention staff.
• Foster an inclusive environment that encourages respect, teamwork, and healthy habits.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fitness space.
• Manage and maintain fitness equipment inventory.
• Assist with school-wide events, fitness competitions, and assigned duties such as lunch or bus supervision.

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid Ohio teaching license.
• Successful completion of required state and federal background checks.

• School hours: 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Attendance at staff meetings, professional development, conferences, and school events as required.
