Job Description

As a Warehouse Operator, you play a key role in a large, global logistics network, ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of products and freight in a busy warehouse environment. You support order fulfillment, inbound and outbound freight activities, documentation, quality control, and safety compliance while contributing to a respectful, team-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

• Pick, scan, label, stage, and replenish products using pallet jacks and other warehouse tools to support accurate and timely order fulfillment.
• Package, band, shrink-wrap, and label products in accordance with specific client requirements to ensure proper presentation and protection.
• Load and unload freight from vehicles and containers, handling materials safely and efficiently.
• Sort freight by size and destination to support smooth and organized warehouse operations.
• Reconcile driver pickup and delivery manifests to ensure accurate documentation of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Read and decode freight codes to expedite product movement and minimize delays.
• Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight to maintain precise records and support billing and logistics processes.
• Inspect shipments for damage or misrouting and accurately record any issues to support quality control and resolution.
• Follow all safety protocols, maintain a clean and orderly workspace, and comply with company policies and OSHA standards.
• Safely operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts where applicable, and promptly report any equipment issues.
• Use RF scanners and related technology to track inventory, support picking activities, and maintain accurate records.
• Perform general labor tasks such as packing, inventory handling, production support, loading, and material handling.
• Support shipping and receiving activities by preparing orders, verifying counts, and organizing products for dispatch.
• Maintain reliable attendance, remain attentive and productive throughout shifts, and adapt to schedule changes or overtime as needed.
• Demonstrate professionalism and respect toward leadership and coworkers, and actively contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Assist with basic maintenance and cleanup activities to keep the warehouse safe, organized, and efficient.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations and customer requirements.

Essential Skills

• Ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment with frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Capability to lift, push, and pull between 21 and 50 pounds on a repetitive basis, with occasional reaching, squatting, and kneeling.
• Basic experience or familiarity with warehouse operations, including packing, inventory handling, production support, loading, and material handling.
• Ability to safely use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment to move and stage products.
• Comfort with repetitive lifting and loading and unloading products throughout the shift.
• Experience or ability to perform picking and order picking tasks with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Ability to use RF scanners for picking, inventory, and shipping and receiving activities.
• Good interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers, and drivers.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Generally 0–2 years of experience; entry-level candidates are welcome.
• Warehouse experience is preferred but not strictly required.
• Ability to maintain reliable attendance and adapt to overtime and schedule changes as needed.
• Commitment to following safety protocols and complying with OSHA standards and company policies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience as a warehouse associate or general laborer is an advantage.
• Experience with forklift operation, including sit-down forklifts, is beneficial.
• Experience in shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
• Experience using pallet jacks in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
• Contract-to-hire opportunity contingent on meeting performance and attendance expectations.
• Strong attention to detail when reading and decoding freight codes, labeling, weighing, and dimensionalizing freight.
• Ability to inspect shipments for damage or misrouting and document findings accurately.
• Willingness to assist with maintenance and cleanup tasks to support a clean and organized facility.

Work Environment

This is an entry-level warehouse role within a logistics facility. You work on your feet for much of the shift, with frequent walking, standing, bending, and occasional reaching, squatting, or kneeling. The environment involves regular lifting, pushing, and pulling of 21–50 pounds and handling a variety of freight and materials. You use equipment such as pallet jacks, RF scanners, and potentially forklifts and sit-down trucks, while supporting picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and general labor tasks. Shifts are structured and include options such as Sunday–Wednesday nights, Wednesday–Saturday days, and Wednesday–Saturday nights, with overtime possible based on business needs. The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and adherence to OSHA standards, and provides protective gear to help you work safely. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burbank, WA.

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $22.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
