Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years current Medical Surgical experience, Telemetry experience required License: Massachusetts RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Willingness to float to any Medical Surgical unit Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred Description: Please do not upload a traveler who would like to work in conjunction with another permanent placement or travel assignment. Please do not upload a traveler who is going to request schedule accommodations. Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified prior to upload. Requests for time off after upload or during the interview will not be approved. No more than five days of time off will be accepted; less is better. Travelers may not take all holidays off. Must work two blocks if scheduled or needed during the following periods: Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after, and the weekend after; Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and the weekend after; New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and the weekend after. This position is not available for 36-hour guaranteed weekly hours. Please ensure your traveler is closed on a 48-hour guarantee before upload. Include all relevant documents with the traveler profile. Travelers are encouraged to set up voicemail on their phones in case of contact from the facility. Unit size is 20 to 34 beds, depending on the unit. Patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:6. Dress code is personal scrubs of any color. Travelers must have their own vehicle for this assignment. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission. Requests for scheduling made after the offer may lead to rescinded offers. Travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
