Job Duties Perform thorough patient evaluations, including conducting physical exams and analyzing medical histories in detail. Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions, aided by the interpretation of imaging studies and laboratory results. Participate in intraoperative activities, such as preparing surgical environments, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and expertly passing instruments throughout procedures. Provide exemplary pre-operative and post-operative care that encompasses medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education. Education Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program required. Clinical rotation experience with a surgical focus is strongly favored. Certifications Current and unrestricted PA-C certification is essential. BLS and ACLS certifications required. State licensure or eligibility as a Physician Assistant. Skills Thorough understanding of surgical principles and proficient knowledge of sterile techniques.
