RN - PACU

PACU RN

PACU RN needed for a 13-week assignment. We care for patients who have undergone a variety of surgeries. The most frequent surgeries include vascular, general, thoracic, gynecological, neurological, orthopedic, kidney transplants, and Whipple procedures. Ventricular monitoring is required for patients with ventricular drains. Patients requiring ICP monitoring will be transferred directly to ICU. The unit experiences high acuity and high volume with a fast-paced environment, especially during evening shifts. Overnight boarders regularly include ICU craniotomy patients, step-down patients, and medical-surgical patients. Candidates must be comfortable working in a controlled chaos environment.

Experience: Preferred previous ICU and/or high acuity PACU experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience with high acuity PACU settings Familiarity with ventricular drains, art lines, central lines, vasoactive and sedative drips, chest tubes, and tracheostomies
