We currently provide engineering, planning, surveying, environmental, public involvement, AGIS, and construction engineering services to airports throughout the Northwest and Intermountain West. If you enjoy problem-solving, thrive in a team environment, and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work that helps drive business success, we'd love to meet you!What You'll DoWhile supporting J-U-B's Aviation Services Group, the Planner will perform various duties, including but not limited to:Preparing and conducting master planning tasks, strategic business plans, capital improvement plans, feasibility studies, airspace analyses, financial analyses, and coordinating environmental assessmentsDeveloping conceptual Airport Layout Plans and terminal area plansResearching and compiling statistical and technical informationWriting technical studies, forecasting, airspace planningPreparing reports and presentationsAssisting with client managementFacilitating communication with FAA officials and meeting FAA-funded project standards and guidelinesWorking closely with project team members, sub-consultants, and clientsRequirementsMinimum Qualifications0-5 years of experience in planning; recent graduates encouraged to apply.Bachelor's degree in Urban/Community Planning, Urban Ecology, Civil Engineering, Airport/Transportation Planning, Aviation Management, Geography/GIS, Environmental Planning, or a related field.Strong analytical, decision-making, and time management skills.Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills.Collaborative problem-solver with a focus on win-win outcomes.Strong organizational and project planning abilities.Ability to travel up to 25% to airports throughout the Intermountain and Northwest regions.Experience using generative AI and AI assistants to support research, data analysis, planning, and document production, automation, with a commitment to accuracy, data privacy, and professional judgment.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Microsoft Office.Experience with CAD and/or GIS.2+ years of experience in planning reflecting a professional awareness of today's aviation industry.Demonstrated working knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, policies, regulations, and airport planning standards – mentorship provided.What We OfferCompetitive salary: $65,000 – $92,000 annually, depending on experienceProfessional development and career growth opportunitiesCoaching and Mentorship programsPerformance bonuses for qualified employeesGenerous vacation and sick leave programs (increases with tenure)Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance401(k) with company match and profit sharingEducation ReimbursementPaid HolidaysHealth club subsidyA collaborative, team-centered work environmentEmployee ownership opportunities after qualified years of serviceThe application window will be open through October 21, 2026.
