Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) Olympia, Washington
The Medical Surgical Oncology RN is responsible for delivering direct nursing care to adult patients within a short-term acute care setting, including patients receiving oncology-related care. The role requires day-to-day management of medical-surgical nursing needs and oncology experience aligned with unit requirements. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift (12 hours), minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); OCN (oncology certification); charting experience with EPIC; 1 year of experience in the relevant clinical area; oncology experience required; oncology certification preferred but not required
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience; oncology experience in addition to the required oncology experience; at least 3 years of Medical-Surgical experience
• Additional Information:
  • Patient care focus includes Medical-Telemetry monitoring supported by an on-site Central Monitoring Unit (CMU)
  • Unit requires readiness to support skills such as isolation precautions/PPE, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, peripheral line care/management, and use of rapid response/code teams
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Weekend coverage: Weekend coverage is required, with 4 weekend shifts per contract (or every other weekend)
  • Call required: Call is not listed for this role
  • Orientation hours: 24
