Controller

A growing, Raleigh based organization is hiring a Corporate Controller to lead Accounting and Financial operations across a complex business structure. This role will work closely with leadership and play a key part in strengthening internal processes and reporting. Responsibilities:Oversee financial reporting activities across multiple business units Review and guide the close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial data Monitor cash activity and support planning around short- and long-term needs Handle complex accounting areas and support proper treatment of unique transactions Maintain oversight of day-to-day accounting activity to ensure consistency and accuracy across the organizationSupport implementation and optimization of systems, tools, and reporting capabilities as the business scalesCollaborate with leadership on budgeting, planning, and performance tracking to support informed decision-makingPartner with internal teams and external providers to keep operations running smoothly Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency through better processes or tools Support various reporting and analysis needs for leadership Requirements:8 years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility Strong foundation in financial reporting, consolidations, and general accounting principles Fund Accounting experience is highly preferredExperience working in environments with multiple business lines or structures CPA or similar certification is preferred Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
