Senior Associate Scientist

Senior Associate Scientist position in Analytical R&D at Pfizer's Chesterfield, Missouri facility, focused on developing and applying analytical methods to support biotherapeutics, vaccines, and oligonucleotide development. The role involves method development, troubleshooting, and quality assessment within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary research environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, troubleshoot, and apply analytical methodologies to support biotherapeutic, vaccine, and oligonucleotide process development
• Become proficient across breadth of analytical techniques including HPLC, colorimetric, and electrophoresis assays
• Perform method development, transfer, verification, and qualification in support of process and formulation development
• Record, archive, and report all analytical data according to corporate guidelines and regulatory standards
• Collaborate effectively with peers and leaders across multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field with 3+ years relevant experience, or Master's degree with 0–2 years experience
• Laboratory experience with various analytical techniques including HPLC, colorimetric, and electrophoresis assays
• Ability to follow established procedures with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
• Effective written and oral communication skills; technical report documentation capability
• Experience with Quality Systems and Good Documentation Practices (desirable)
• Knowledge of drug development progression for biological candidates (desirable)

Compensation: $68,600–$114,300 base annually, plus 7.5% bonus target
