Salary/Position Classification $89,000+ annual, Exempt 40 hours per week This position will work onsite the Grand Forks, ND campus. Purpose of Position The Department of Physical Therapy is seeking a faculty member to teach in the areas of neurologic, geriatric, general physical therapy, and other duties dependent of departmental need. Duties & Responsibilities Teaching in the areas of neurologic, geriatric, general physical therapy, and other areas of departmental need. Well-defined, ongoing scholarly agenda and dissemination. Service to the department, school, university, and profession. Advising graduate and undergraduate students. Required Competencies Possess appropriate academic and experiential qualifications. Obtain and hold appropriate state licensure for professional practice. Maintain a high level of professional ethics as outlined by APTA and the University. Have strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Minimum Requirements Academic doctorate or earned DPT with a commitment to pursue academic doctorate appropriate for teaching responsibilities and scholarly activity. Advanced training with contemporary expertise and clinical experience in neurologic, geriatric, or generalist physical therapy practice. Current PT license; eligible for ND license. 3 years' clinical experience. Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check. In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identityand eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment. Preferred Qualifications An academic doctorate in a field appropriate for teaching responsibilities. A Board-Certified Clinical Specialist from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties or advanced certification. Classroom teaching experience.
