Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Broward Physical Therapy, you will:

• Design, implement, and direct personalized treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring mobility according to each patient's needs.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities, utilizing a variety of diagnostic and prognostic measures to establish baselines for treatment.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they deliver care following established plans and protocols.
• Administer a range of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, exercises, traction, and the use of other physical agents to enhance recovery.
• Monitor patient progress closely, documenting changes in condition and adjusting treatment plans as necessary in collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical records including evaluations, care plans, and progress reports in compliance with legal and professional standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and contribute ideas for improving treatment outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding home care techniques, ensuring they understand their rehabilitation programs.
• Advocate for patient needs and collaborate with physicians regarding necessary adjustments in treatment, particularly with respect to the use of orthotic and prosthetic devices.
