The schedule is Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm. As a Phlebotomist, you play a vital role in supporting timely diagnosis and treatment by ensuring accurate specimen collection, testing, and documentation. You'll work alongside a collaborative care team to provide safe, high-quality laboratory services that strengthen access to care in communities where healthcare resources may be limited. Your attention to detail and compassionate approach help create a positive experience for every patient we serve. This is a great opportunity for someone who values precision, patient connection, and being an essential part of a mission-driven healthcare team serving rural communities.Key ResponsibilitiesCollect and process blood and urine specimens in accordance with CLIA and OSHA standardsPerform venipuncture, finger sticks, heel sticks, and butterfly collections across the lifespan (pediatric through geriatric patients)Verify patient information, accurately document in NextGen, and clearly explain procedures to patientsEnsure proper handling, labeling, storage, and transportation of specimensMaintain laboratory cleanliness and safety in compliance with state and federal regulationsMonitor laboratory supplies and coordinate ordering as neededPerform quality control procedures and basic equipment maintenanceCollaborate effectively with providers and care team members to support quality patient careMaintain required logs, documentation, and MSDS recordsPerform other duties as assignedEducation, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise High School/GED requiredWORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS• At least two (2) years' experience required • Ability to draw blood on pediatric through geriatric patients • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipmentLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION• Certified Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certificate required • Demonstrated experience of 3+ years in phlebotomy in lieu of certificateYou'll be a great fit for this role if you:Take pride in accuracy and attention to detailHelp patients feel at ease during proceduresThrive in a team-oriented, mission-focused environmentStay organized and proactive in managing supplies and documentationValue safety, compliance, and high standards of careWant your work to directly support improved access to healthcare in rural communitiesAbout Compass Health NetworkCompass Health Network is a nonprofit organization dedicated to delivering accessible, high-quality care throughout Missouri.
