Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients at a 1:5–6 nurse-to-patient ratio.
• Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given using EPIC EMR .
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources.
• Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations effectively.

Required Qualifications

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license required.
• BLS Certification via American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing setting.
• Ability to float to all Med/Surg departments as needed.
• Availability for weekend shifts (2–4 shifts per month, rotated among staff).
• Availability for on-call shifts (2–4 shifts per month, rotated among staff).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Prior experience with EPIC EMR.
• Experience managing complex patient populations with varying psychological, emotional, and cultural needs.
