Excess Flood Underwriter

Overview SWBC is seeking a talented individual to underwrite all Excess Flood policies and monitor aggregate limits. Responsibilities Evaluate all Excess Flood quote submissions and provide quotes as appropriate. Process all renewal Excess Flood quotes in advance of policy renewal dates and forward to independent provider agents. Verify agent property-casualty or surplus lines licensing. Monitor Excess Flood coverage aggregates, including aggregate limits, flood zone aggregate, and Excess Flood premiums, to comply with Excess binding authority. Process agent billing and monitor to ensure timely payments. Maintain all Excess Flood policy files. Evaluate all NPC and CBRS quote submissions and provide quotes as appropriate. Perform NPC and CBRS policy setup in the system and monthly Bordereaux reporting. Evaluate and submit requests for open market quotes and forward quotes to agents. Review and approve all open market debit notes, cover notes, and policies prior to release. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent work experience. At least five (5) years P&C insurance, customer service, or related experience. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets. Must be able to work independently. Possess P&C Insurance license. Lifting 10-20 lbs. of files and/or boxes.
