Duties & Responsibilities Key Technical Skills Required: Good communication, supervisory and mentoring skills, reliable, attention to details and accuracy are necessary. Valid driver’s licenses to travel as needed to project sites, client meetings and growing the business. Demonstrated business development and project management experience within the past 2‑4 years. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work with a diverse team. Key Responsibilities Of This Role Include: • Project management, client interaction and technical and fee proposal preparation within the designated engineering practice. • Management of projects, development of scopes and budgets, engineering studies and technical reports for high‑profile projects. • Assistance to the engineering practice leader in project budgets and technical deliverables, QA/QC reviews, and communication with external and internal clients. • Marketing, business development and expansion of the engineering practice. Project Management And Leadership: Manage all aspects of the project(s), including technical staff, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and successful completion. Develop and communicate the Project Management Plan outlining objectives, scope, schedule, budget, quality standards and safety protocols. Develop project‑specific scope of work and contract documents in compliance with client requirements. Maintain project schedules and proactively address potential delays or conflicts. Monitor project budgets and expenditures and implement cost‑control measures. Uphold high‑quality standards and oversee quality assurance processes. Serve as primary client contact and manage client concerns in a timely and professional manner. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and project team members. Actively manage the project for compliance with contract scope, schedule and fee, including change orders. Allocate resources efficiently and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Training, Development And Compliance: Mentor less experienced staff, comply with all KCI policies and procedures, and provide input to develop and implement project‑specific safety plans in accordance with federal, state and local rules. Financial Management and Reporting: Negotiate contract terms, scope and fees with clients and subconsultants. Develop project schedules from inception to completion. Prepare monthly proposal/business development reports and performance results. Maintain project cash management and provide weekly project data to senior managers. Identify ways to improve efficiency while lowering costs. Submit monthly project completion reports and discuss progress in review meetings. Business Development And Marketing: Participate in project opportunity evaluation, consultant selection, preparation of qualification statements, and promote KCI’s capabilities among existing and prospective clients. Project Execution And Technical Oversight: Fully manage all required project management and technical deliverables. Compare field data to design plans and conduct site visits to gather data. Prepare designs and/or deliverables for approval. Read and interpret technical documents needed for project execution. Make decisions on issues and challenges during implementation. Maintain knowledge of current state and municipal policies and guidelines. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry) with a minimum of 2 years of related professional experience, or 6 years of equivalent experience. Master’s Degree in a related field preferred. Participation in continuing education and professional development programs. Leadership potential to inspire and motivate project teams. Organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, team members and stakeholders. Technical knowledge in the specific field of the project. Knowledge of project management software and tools for comprehensive project plans. Understanding of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols. Strong problem‑solving skills and innovative solutions in a fast‑paced environment. Negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes and stakeholder agreements. Certificates, Licenses, And/or Registrations Required Successful completion of the KCI PM Training and Contract Training for current employees, or ability to complete within six months for new hires. #J-18808-Ljbffr
