Job Description Job Title: Industrial Engineer\n \n Location : Lockport, LA\n \n Position Overview: \n \nThe Industrial Engineer leads and completes moderately complex industrial engineering assignments while performing statistical analyses to enhance production flow, cost efficiency, schedule performance, and overall operational effectiveness.\n \n Key Responsibilities: \n \n \n Analyze and design sequences of operations and workflows to improve production efficiency and facility layouts, ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and equipment. \n Conduct studies on cost control, cost reduction, inventory management, and production record systems to identify improvement opportunities. \n Optimize manufacturing labor allocation and material flow through methods such as line balancing, time studies, and workflow optimization. \n Develop sustainable solutions and standardized workflows for new and existing products with a focus on safety and efficiency. \n Support manufacturing safety by designing ergonomic solutions for operations and material handling. \n Recommend process improvements for equipment utilization, operation sequences, and overall production strategies. \n Establish accident prevention measures and manage training programs for all phases of production operations. \n Perform Bottleneck Analysis and Value Stream Mapping to guide strategic deployment. \n Collaborate with facilities engineers on facility planning and design to meet production needs. \n \n Experience: \n \n \n A Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or equivalent experience required. \n Minimum of 3 months in industrial engineering, shipbuilding, or production processes. \n Some travel required. \n \n Skills and Abilities: \n \n \n Comprehensive understanding of EVMS concepts and their application. \n Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and standards. \n Strong written and verbal communication skills. \n Demonstrated ability to act with a sense of urgency. \n Proficiency with computer systems and engineering software. \n \n \n \nBollinger is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing employment opportunities to minorities, females, veterans and disabled individuals, and without regard to sexual orientation and gender identity.
