PENDING CONTRACT AWARD

The Engineering Aide at the Potomac River Test Range (PRTR) will support engineering teams through a variety of tasks and responsibilities crucial to project success. This position performs a myriad of important functions that help streamline engineering processes and ensure that projects run efficiently and effectively. Duties and Responsibilities Works closely with Test Planning and Management engineers, taking on tasks that range from administrative support to hands‑on involvement in project planning and execution. Assists Test Planning and Management engineers in designing, testing, and maintaining systems and equipment. Collects and analyzes data, prepares reports and presentations. Operates and maintains laboratory equipment and performs tests as directed. Organizes and maintains engineering documents and records. Provides technical support to other departments as required. Assists with the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment. Provides general administrative support to the engineering team as needed. Other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in any field or discipline. Three (3) years of experience in a professional work environment. Experience working collaboratively as a member of a project team. Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills, essential for success in a T&E team environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Demonstrated ability to use common laboratory equipment and tools. Proficiency in data entry and basic data analysis. Preferred Skills and Qualifications Prior experience working in a laboratory or field-test environment or with the concepts of T&E. Familiarity with engineering standards and tools. Physical Qualifications The work of this position is performed in an environmentally controlled office environment. Must be capable of sitting and entering data on a computer keyboard for extended periods of time. Must be able to view computer monitor for extended periods of time. Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions. Must pass a pre‑employment drug screening. Must be able to successfully complete a background check. Must possess or be able to obtain an interim security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
