We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations and help maintain accurate financial records for the organization in Peshtigo, Wisconsin. This position plays a key role in period-end activities, balance sheet integrity, and day-to-day ledger accuracy while partnering with internal teams to support reliable reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a permanent role.

Responsibilities:
• Manage monthly closing activities by preparing and reviewing financial data to ensure deadlines are met accurately.
• Maintain the general ledger by recording, analyzing, and correcting transactions as needed.
• Prepare journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation and ensure entries align with accounting standards.
• Perform account reconciliations regularly to identify discrepancies and resolve outstanding items promptly.
• Complete bank reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain accurate cash reporting.
• Support financial reporting processes by verifying balances and assisting with the preparation of internal statements.
• Partner with accounting leadership to strengthen controls, improve accuracy, and support ongoing process updates when needed.• Demonstrated experience in senior-level accounting work with responsibility for core general ledger activities.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and the ability to manage deadlines effectively.
• Hands-on experience preparing journal entries and supporting documentation with a high level of accuracy.
• Proven ability to complete account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies independently.
• Experience performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate cash records.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping best practices.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with internal stakeholders.
