Area High School Track and Field Assistant Coach (S.W. DeKalb HS) 2025-2026 Position Type: Athletics/ Assistant Coach Date Posted: 2/5/2026 Location: Southwest DeKalb High School Southwest DeKalb High School is seeking a motivated Assistant Track and Field Coach, who has a passion for working with high school students. Responsibilities The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Principal and the Head Coach in the sport that you express an interest. Candidate must be willing to assist the Head Coach in game techniques and strategies to prepare them for competition, and determine the need for individual or team improvement; candidate must be willing to accept directions from the Head Coach at all times. An Lay Coach will be required to assist with maintaining inventory of athletic equipment, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of first aid techniques, and maintaining locker room and playing facilities. Community Coaches are temporary positions and must be renewed annually. Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Experience and knowledge coaching sports preferred.
