As a Research Analyst, you will:
- Dive into diverse sources — academic research, technical reports, policies, journals, and open‑source materials — to extract insights and connect dots across complex topics.
- Produce clear and compelling quantitative and qualitative analyses.
- Develop studies, papers, and presentations that translate technical research into options for decision-makers.
- Frame key research questions, conduct analysis, and brief your findings to Navy leadership.
- Coordinate technical analysis across scientists, engineers, analysts, and policymakers.
- Lead or participate in small project teams.
- Balance independent work with collaborative problem-solving.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Strong academic performance in fields such as national security studies, policy, engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, or management is ideal.
- Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills — both written and verbal.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience using research databases, data‑analytics tools, knowledge‑management platforms, or artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
