Student Academic Data and Research Assistant (Fall)

Position Introduction We are seeking a student academic data and research assistant to join our athletic academic department. The ideal candidate is efficient, detail‑oriented, and skilled in developing and maintaining workplace relationships and confidentiality. Job Responsibilities Supports efficient office operations. Maintains physical and digital filing systems. Works with IT staff to ensure all computers in the computer labs are working properly. Inputs and updates information in databases and spreadsheets. Prepares meeting agendas and takes meeting minutes. Uses word processing and presentation software to create and edit documents. Operates office equipment, including printers, scanners, and copy machine. Works closely with other academic staff and supports as needed. Works with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality and security and ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulations. Ensures deadlines are met and adapts to changing priorities. Presents a positive and professional image for the department. Required Education and Experience Currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student in good standing at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status. Skills Digital literacy and research skills, including the ability to analyze the reliability of information. Familiarity with Office 365 and Canvas. Data management and entry skills, including maintaining and improving filing systems. Accurate record keeping. Written communication skills. Time management, multitasking, and flexibility. Organizational skills. Accuracy and attention to detail. Supply management and inventory control. Ability to work well under pressure and navigate multiple deadlines. Proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement. Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
