Assistant Project Manager (Design-Build Construction)

Job Overview Assistant Project Manager at a design-build general contractor in Chicago. Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per year. Responsibilities Assists with the management and coordination of construction projects from start to finish. Works closely with senior project managers and field staff to ensure all project activities meet quality, safety, and budgetary requirements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred). 1-3 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a project assistant or coordinator role. Strong knowledge of construction processes, documentation, and terminology. Familiarity with project management software such as Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project and the MS Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proactive, with problem‑solving ability. Team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations is a plus. Benefits Bonus program (project based).
