Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.Basic Qualifications• Bachelor's level degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field with minimum 1 year related professional experience• Experience with deploying and managing/administrating Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance at the SECRET level.Desired Skills• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux - RHEL8.*, RHEL 9.* • Experience with Gitlab, Atlassian toolset, Bash Scripting and Containers (Podman/Docker)• Engineering design and development, software development processes and Systems/Software modeling• Ability to work independently or as a member of a team• Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment, Test Automation, and Agile development experience• Design and development of radar systems• Flexibility to travel if neededPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $81100.00 - $150500.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
