Job Title: Tool and Die Maker - 1st Shift Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team, where you will set up and operate both conventional manual equipment and CNC machinery to machine precision replacement parts. Your expertise in repairing, sharpening, and maintaining progressive and short-run metal stamping dies will be crucial to minimizing production downtime. You will build and assemble new custom tools, jigs, templates, and fixtures based on strict engineering blueprints and CAD/CAM data. Your role will also involve utilizing precision measuring tools to ensure all tools align perfectly with specified tolerances and diagnosing tooling issues directly from feedback or defects on the production floor.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual equipment and CNC machinery for precision part machining.
- Repair, sharpen, and maintain metal stamping dies to minimize downtime.
- Build and assemble custom tools, jigs, templates, and fixtures from engineering blueprints.
- Utilize precision measuring tools to ensure tool accuracy and alignment with tolerances.
- Diagnose tooling issues from press operator feedback or defects on the production floor.
- 2-3 years of experience in Tool Making/Tool and Die.
- Proficiency in tool and die making, manual machining, and machine setup.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience in using precision measuring tools.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to learn and mechanical aptitude.
- Understanding of tool layout and processes.
- Experience as a manual machinist is considered, with potential for growth.
