Valley View Animal Hospital offers comprehensive small animal medical services across a wide schedule, including Urgent Care available Monday through Saturday from 12 PM to 10 PM. You will utilize advanced testing and diagnostics to manage complex cases, supported by our experienced team. Our services include thorough wellness and preventive care, surgical procedures, and advanced care options. Because we hold specialized certifications in Fear Free and Cat Friendly protocols, you can feel confident knowing that the entire practice environment is designed to prevent and alleviate patient fear, anxiety, and stress, allowing you to focus purely on delivering the highest standard of evidence-based veterinary medicine. Your Impact as an Urgent Care Credentialed Veterinary Technician

Note: The Credentailed Veterinary Technician title is used in various states based on state-specific licensing and credentialing requirements. Responsibilities may vary depending on the hospital and/or state and will be outlined by the state's Veterinary Practice Act and/or the responsible veterinarian, where applicable.

• Be a Lifeline for Patients in Crisis: You'll be on the front lines, utilizing your full skillset in triage, stabilization, patient monitoring, and critical care under veterinarian supervision.
• Provide Clarity in Critical Moments: You'll be a vital and calming link for pet owners, clearly explaining treatments, reviewing discharge instructions, and providing reassurance during stressful times.
• Lead and Elevate Your Team: In a fast-paced setting, you'll guide and support your colleagues, ensuring a smooth workflow and fostering a focused, collaborative atmosphere.
• Ensure Seamless Care: Your clear and accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced environment will be crucial for patient handoffs, case management, and effective team communication.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• A calm, efficient, and decisive approach, especially during medical emergencies.
• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program and a current state license in good standing.
• Proficiency in a range of technical skills, with a strong aptitude for emergency procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Confidence in handling animals of all temperaments and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively under pressure.
• One year of experience in a veterinary setting is preferred; urgent care or emergency experience is a plus!
