Facility Engineer

Facility EngineerPGS Worldwide is seeking a Facility Engineer in York, PA for a one year contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. The Facility Engineer will support the Facilities Capital plan and help safely execute facilities-related projects while prioritizing safety, quality, schedule, and cost. This role will manage low- to mid-level scope projects, subcontractors, purchasing activities, and facilities construction projects in a manufacturing environment.Required SkillsBachelor's Degree in an Engineering or technical discipline and four (4) years of related experience, or overall equivalentExperience working in a manufacturing environmentAbility to work well in a team environmentEffective written and verbal communication skillsSolid problem-solving and analytical abilitiesPreferred SkillsExperience working in a collaborative, team-based environmentDefense manufacturing environment experienceExperience with AutoCAD softwareExperience with manufacturing database software such as OracleWhat You'll DoServe as project engineer for low- to mid-level scope facilities projectsSpecify requirements and write purchase requisitions for facility items, services, and projectsManage disciplines of subcontracted construction projects, including demolition, electrical, mechanical, structural, carpentry, painting, floor coverings, and furnitureManage subcontractors by reviewing requested work, writing work orders, inspecting work, and approving paymentsSupport subcontracted services including general construction, vehicle repair, rigging and millwright, and crane maintenanceDevelop and maintain effective relationships with customers to solve technical problems of low to moderate complexitySupport Safety & Environmental objectives, including area audits, issue resolution, risk reduction actions, and sustainability improvement projectsComplete projects within schedule and budget constraints and assist with annual Facilities budget developmentReview bids, statements of work, and project authorizationsCoordinate and oversee facilities-related construction projects throughout all phases of the project cycleSubmit purchase order requisitions through Oracle-based softwareProactively maintain a safe work environment and promote a culture of safety, quality, schedule, and costPerform additional duties as assigned by the department managerWork Schedule / Shift9/80 scheduleTypical hours: 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday through FridayJob ID: 7636Military veterans and transitioning military members are encouraged to apply to all PGS Worldwide positions.
