Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) with CVICU experience will provide specialized critical care nursing in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and Coronary Care Unit (CCU). This role involves delivering expert nursing care to patients requiring complex cardiovascular monitoring and interventions, including those in a hybrid Cath Lab setting. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes and support the hospital's mission of community-centered care. A minimum of three years critical care experience and strong CVICU skills, including Day 0 CVICU experience, are required. Responsibilities Provide skilled nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in CVICU and CCU settings. Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Operate and monitor advanced cardiovascular equipment including in Cath Lab and Hybrid Cath Lab environments. Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans. Participate in emergency interventions and support patient stabilization efforts. Document patient care activities accurately and timely in accordance with hospital policies. Engage in continuous professional development and maintain certifications relevant to critical care nursing. Participate in call rotation, providing coverage as needed for staffing requirements. Required Skills & Certifications Current Colorado Registered Nurse license in good standing. Minimum of 3 years of critical care nursing experience. Strong CVICU skills with Day 0 CVICU experience. American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced critical care environment. Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills. Preferred Skills & Certifications Experience with hybrid Cath Lab procedures and equipment. Additional certifications such as PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support). Previous experience working in smaller independent or community hospitals. Special Considerations Must agree to participate in call rotation, taking one call shift per two-week period as required. Work involves night shifts with 12-hour duration, including weekend rotations. Position requires flexibility to cover both CVICU and CCU units as needed. Potential housing available near the hospital for travelers, fully furnished and inclusive of utilities. Scheduling 12-hour night shifts. Weekend rotations included.
