You may not know Peerless-AV by name, but you have likely seen our products in malls, amusement parks, hotels, sport stadiums and/or different restaurant drive-thru.

Peerless-AV is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will prepare, package, and process outbound shipments while ensuring products are shipped accurately and on time. The ideal candidate has experience using StarShip, but experience with UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager is a plus. This candidate would be comfortable operating a sit-down forklift, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of shipping experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment.
• Experience using StarShip shipping software required, experience with UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager is a plus.
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift required.
• Experience operating an order picker is a plus.
• Experience with LTL freight shipments, bills of lading, and shipping documentation preferred.
• Experience using an ERP or inventory management system preferred.

Essential Responsibilities

• Process daily domestic and international shipments using StarShip shipping software.
• Generate shipping labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and other required shipping documentation.
• Verify order accuracy prior to shipment to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Load and unload trucks safely using a sit-down forklift .
• Retrieve and stage materials throughout the warehouse; operate an order picker when needed.
• Coordinate shipments with parcel carriers, LTL freight carriers, and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate shipment records within the company's ERP system.
• Maintain inventory of shipping supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed.
• Keep the shipping department organized, clean, and compliant with company safety standards.
• Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work overtime, including weekends
• Must be physically capable of standing/bending /stooping/griping 8+ hour shift(s)
• Must be able to lift/carry/move up to 30 lbs. without assistance. Anything above than 30 lbs. require a team lift.
• Must be able to work in non-climate, non-dust-controlled areas
• Must be able to wear required safety equipment including shoes, glasses, harnesses, etc.
