Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality patient care within the Medical-Surgical unit under the supervision of the Unit Director. The RN ensures patient safety and comfort while adhering to hospital policies and state regulations, serving as a charge nurse when assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient care according to protocols and clinical standards.
• Supervise and support shift staff, providing guidance as the Charge Nurse.
• Monitor patient conditions, recording and reporting changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including BLS and ACLS requirements.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current Maine RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within 30 days of hire.
• Telemetry experience preferred.
• Strong communication and multitasking skills essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours and be a team player.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred; MOAB or CPI certifications preferred but not required.
