Clinical Research Coordinator - Intern

Work Location Orange, California Work Shift Day – 08hrs (United States of America) Job Summary Under the Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) Internship Program, the CRC Intern will be provided with the orientation and training in clinical research, exposure to various therapeutic areas and research methodologies, and hands‑on experience assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of clinical trials. Interns will be introduced to the lifecycle and execution of clinical studies in accordance with CHOC policies and procedures, ICH/GCP, and FDA guidelines. The internship requires 40 hours of work per week for a 12‑month consecutive period. Pay Range Minimum $16.41 – Midpoint $21.74 – Maximum $27.07 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Work Schedule 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday - Friday Experience Required: Volunteer experience. Education Required: Associate's degree or will obtain in the first 6 months from assuming position. Preferred: Bachelor's degree Specialized Skills Required: Strong interest in clinical research and desire to pursue a career in the field as a clinical research coordinator. Commit to the full term of the CRC Internship Program. Basic knowledge of key Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. Be detail oriented. Able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple competing priorities. Ability to handle a flexible work schedule based on workload. Preferred: Basic knowledge of medical terminology. Licensure Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association certification is expected to be obtained within 6 months of assuming position. Work Environments – Functional Demand Light – Moderate energy level. Lift and carry 25-35 lbs. Push/pull 50-100 lbs. (e.g., empty bed, stretcher).
