Compliance Manager - Louisiana Plan Compliance Officer

Compliance Manager – Louisiana Plan Compliance Officer Location: Must be a resident of Louisiana and work in office 1-2 days per week at the Metairie, LA. office, with flexibility for virtual work. Responsibilities Facilitate relationship with the state of Louisiana, Louisiana Department of Health, and resolve remediation issues. Collaborate with the Compliance Director on issue remediation and root‑cause analysis of member, provider, and state complaints. Work closely with local plan leadership to ensure Louisiana Department of Health interactions are addressed. Track issue remediation, confirm partners understand and address root causes and control breakdowns. Review state‑defined quality metrics performance, vendor and affiliate monitoring and audit performance. Oversee health plan implementation of new local and enterprise‑wide initiatives. Research and respond to contract questions, state‑based interpretation and enforcement; own the Louisiana Medicaid Compliance Committee. Support business development and maintenance of the contract, including RFx support. Assist health plan leaders with operational reviews with senior Medicaid leadership. Meet with key regulatory contacts biweekly or more often, ensuring the health plan meets regulatory expectations. Assist Elevance’s Audit COE in understanding state requirements, audit status and responsible leaders. Review collateral and member messaging for distribution to members. Perform reviews of local and centralized policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state contracts. Qualifications BA/BS and a minimum of 6 years of health‑care, regulatory, ethics, compliance or privacy experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Preferred: managed care operations experience; strong leadership/managerial skills; ability to motivate/coach staff. Preferred: MS/MBA or a professional designation.
