Licensed (NY) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Asthma & Allergy Associates PC is seeking a licensed (NY) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a full-time position in our Elmira, NY office, with the possibility of also seeing patients in our Ithaca and Vestal, NY offices. Our practice has served Central New York, the Finger Lakes and the Southern Tier for over 50 years, with offices in Ithaca, Cortland, Vestal, Elmira, and Fayetteville. Our team of allergists are trained to treat, diagnose, and manage asthma, allergies, and immune deficiencies in patients of all ages. Successful candidates will possess a high-level of professionalism, as well as excellent communication, multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills. Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality patient care are critical. Experience in the field of allergy, asthma, and immunology is ideal, but not necessary, as is experience with electronic medical record systems (Medent, in particular). Position Responsibilities: Obtain medical histories Perform physical examinations and testing Provide patient/family education about medical conditions and treatments Prescribe medications Document exam and progress notes in EMR Perform other related duties as assigned. Nurse Practitioner Candidates: Master’s of Science degree from an accredited Nursing program (MSN) NYS Registered Nurse license NYS Nurse Practitioner license Family Nurse Practitioner certification We will consider new grads; however, employment is contingent on becoming certified. Physician Assistant Candidates: Bachelor’s Degree from an ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant program NYS Physician Assistant license NCCPA certification We will consider new grads; however, employment is contingent on becoming certified within probationary period Benefits: Our offices are open Monday-Friday, with no weekend or evening hours.
