That's WEIS!**Location Address:**693 Lombard Road**Job Description:****ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:* Is responsible for delivering superior customer service. Smiles and greets customers, answers non-medical questions, does suggestive selling, handles special requests, assists in resolving minor customer issues in a prompt and courteous manner.* Assists customers at the register by processing sales of prescriptions, OTC products, groceries, and other various items for sale.* Assists in identifying customer’s needs, helps to locate product, and promote products and services. Works with the pharmacists to resolve any customer issues or problems.* Operates and maintains a working knowledge of equipment to help provide service to customers including the register, phones, and other department equipment.* Retrieves prescriptions and prescription refills from customers and other necessary information required for prescription processing while partnering with the technicians and pharmacists to assign wait times.* Assists customers in completing first time patient information documents utilizing a patient information form. Requesting any insurance or patient discount cards and make copies for pharmacy records.* Provides customer assistance during prescription pick up by retrieving prescriptions from will call, scanning prescriptions to verify the correct prescription is selected, gathering electronic signatures for HIPAA acknowledgment and third-party payment if applicable, in accordance with company policies and procedures.* Works within the department to unpack and put away pharmacy orders.* Provide operational support to the pharmacists on duty and ensures and maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.* Reports, immediately, any suspected prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.* Follows all department policies and procedure and complies with state and federal regulations.* Performs additional job-related responsibilities and duties as necessary or assigned.* Support and embody the Mission, Vision, and Values of Weis Markets.**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES**This position currently has no supervisor responsibilities.**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:Education and/or experience completed or working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
